Sylvia Marcella Smith

Sylvia Marcella Sullivan Smith 85, of Weatherford passed away on Thursday July 21, 2011 in a local nursing home. Born Feburary 23, 1926 to Don and Tennie Sullivan near Canjilon, NM.  Sylvia married Hoye Smith August 29, 1942 and spent many wonderful years together until his passing. Mrs. Smith was a faithful member First Baptist Church of Willow Park and a member of D.A.R.  Daughters of American Revolution.  She is preceeded in death by her parents Don and Tennie Sullivan. Husband, Hoye Smith, Grandson, Garvis Avants, brothers,  Leo, Louie, Lawrence, Clarence, Gene, John and Delbert Sullivan. And a sister Lucille.
She is survived by Daughter  Patricia and husband Marvin Avants of Weatherford, Tx. Daughter Sharon (Kathy) and husband Randall James of Austin, Tx. Grandson Gregory and wife Della Avants of Chandler, Tx. Granddaughters Allison and husband Jason Dredla of Lockhart, Tx. Amanda and husband John Hayes of Payton, Co. Great grandchildren Jared and wife Ashley Sheehan-Avants of Fort Worth, Tx. Ashley Jordan Avants of  Weatherford, Tx. Tayler and Courtney Dredla of Lockhart, Tx. Great-Grandson’s Noah and Caleb Avants.  Sisters: Clydia Chastain of Kansas and Myrtle Cook Of Denison, Tx.
The family will do a memorial service at a later date.
