  T.B. Kenneth Allen, Jr., 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for the open road. He was born on June 1, 1946, in Texico, New Mexico, to T.B. Kenneth Allen, Sr. and Dovie (Barton) Allen.

  Kenneth proudly served as a Seabee in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1971, including service in Vietnam.

  Following his military service, Kenneth built a fulfilling career as a long-haul truck driver, taking great pride in his work and earning a reputation for his strong work ethic and commitment. His passion for the road extended beyond his career-he was an avid motor sports enthusiast and found great joy in watching NASCAR.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, T.B. Kenneth Allen, Sr. and Dovie Allen, as well as his siblings, Clodine Griffin, Dovie Thompson, Etnia Lou Harper, Roy Lee Allen, and Lee Roy Allen.

  Kenneth will be lovingly remembered by his children, Kenneth Allen and Rachael Smith, along with his step-son, Michael Gale, and his step-grandchildren. His spirit lives on through his siblings, Melcena Johnston of Clovis, New Mexico, Beatrice Maynard of Azle, Texas, and Louis Allen of Bridgeport, Texas.

  He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Bobby Allen, Gary Maynard, Randy Johnston, Gene Harper, Scotty Gale, Jr., Debbie Hobbs, Elizabeth Giles, Donnie Bradley, Linda Flowers, Roy Lee Allen, Jr., Steven Allen, Kristin Robertson, Dovie Lou Barkman, Glenda McClelland, Tammy Giglio, Tarry Harper, Emily Blanton, Ashley Perkins, Kelley McWilliams, Lisa Kia, Matthew Allen, Jennifer Scott, Jessica Warnick, and Jacob Allen; as well as many other cherished family members and friends.

  A funeral service to honor Kenneth’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas, with a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Spring Creek Cemetery, in Weatherford, Texas, following the service.
