Teresa Marie Ross, 58, of Weatherford, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 15, 2006, after a battle with cancer. Terrie was born August 27, 1948 in Greenville, Mississippi. She moved to Weatherford and graduated Weatherford High School in 1966. She married and moved to Aledo where she drove a school bus and was a substitute teacher while her children were in school. Terrie was a loving mother, a “Cookie” of a grandmother, the best sister and a great aunt. She was a devoted mother that spent many hours taking her children to church and encouraging them to attend. They were members at First Baptist Church of Aledo. She loved spending time reading bedtime stories to her children and teaching them about the word of God. Terrie was a passionate artist using several different styles to express her talent. She would use watercolor, pen and ink, pastels and clay and also catered receptions. She was able to fulfill her dream of being a chef while working for Fossil Rim Wildlife Park until she became ill. She was preceded in death by her dad, Frank Casey Sr., mother Hazel Marie Casey Stephens, father Joe Nichols, brother, Frank W. Casey Jr., and grandson Trent Jacob Ross. Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law Shannon and Marty Starnes of Glen Rose, daughter and son-in-law, MariAnna and Chad Deiley of Weatherford, son and daughter- in- law, Brandon and Janet Ross of Fort Worth, sister, Angela Arthurs and husband Bruce of Weatherford, grandchildren, Aubrey and Teddy Wayne Starnes and Michah Ross, 1/2 sisters, Carolyn Dufour of Alexandria Louisiana, Debra Childress of Irving, 1/2 brothers, Joseph Nichols Jr. of Mesquite, Randy Nichols of Roanoke, nieces Amanda and Ashley Arthurs, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Victory Baptist Church. Burial in Brown Cemetery in Aledo. Visitation 6-8 p.m. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
