Thea Lynn Hardcastle

  Thea Lynn Hardcastle (Hassell), 69, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away on May 4, 2024. She was born on January 28, 1955, in Seminole, Texas.

  Thea was a dedicated mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. An excellent homemaker, caregiver, and baker, she touched the lives of many with her kindness and warmth.

  She is survived by her mother, Mary Donald; brothers, Rolan Hassell and wife, Jackie, and Paul Hassell; daughters, LaDonna Nash and husband, Brad, and Kathleen Deen; grandchildren, Caitlyn Lyons and husband, Daniel, Sterling Maxon and wife, Stephanie, Emma Gregory and husband, Tyler, and Hailey Nash and fiancé, Kyle Sottosanti; great-grandchildren, Zoey Lyons, Sophia Maxon and brother, Taylor, and Stella and Eleanor Gregory. 

  Thea was preceded in death by her husband, Paschal Hardcastle; father, Rolan Don Hassell; and grandparents, Guy Nelson, Paula Nelson Jones, Rolan Knox, and Kathleen Hassell.

  Thea attended Seagraves High School in West Texas and was a member of Lane Prairie Baptist Church where she found solace and community.

  Over the years, Thea owned a donut store, a resale shop, and a carpet store. Worked for the City of Weatherford, a dental office and sold insurance for MetLife. Thea was an amazing baker, birthdays and weddings saw many of her cakes. Thea was well known for making thousands of witness bracelets that she shared with everyone she met. Her ministry spread with the help of mission groups to send bracelets to other countries to help spread the story of Jesus Christ. As a seamstress, she crafted square dance dresses for herself and others, along with quilts for family and friends. She taught herself to crochet, creating items for her family.

  A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date to honor and celebrate Thea's life. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Home, in Weatherford, Texas, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
