Thomas Allen McClintock, age 85, passed from this life to his heavenly home to be with Jesus on Friday, May 14, 2021, from his residence. Tom was born September 24, 1935, in Corsicana, Texas, to Ody Lee and Madeline McClintock. He was an Insurance Agent and an Evangelist. He never met a stranger and that made him a great salesman. Tom loved his family and taking care of them.
Over the years, he enjoyed fishing, billiards, jogging, doing sleight of hand “magic” tricks for anyone who would stop to watch, tinkering and fixing things and collecting things to tinker with and fix; unicycle, bicycle and motorcycle riding (including dirt bikes and doing special tricks). He was a “smooth” dancer; early on to 50s/60s music, later on ballroom dancing and dances at the senior center. He was always the life of the party. He and Donna lived in Weatherford for 50 years and back in the day, he knew about everyone in town. All of the kids in town called him “Uncle Tom”. He loved to entertain and make people laugh and took special pride and joy in his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was the Founder of Freedom Ministries. He cared deeply about people’s struggles in this life and helped whomever he could, both financially and spiritually. Tom's passion was to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ bringing many people in relationship with the Lord and Savior.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jerry Lee McClintock.
Tom is survived by his wife of 63 years, Donna McClintock of Fort Worth; daughters, Laurie Alberter and husband, Chuck of Fort Worth; Rhonda Watts and husband, Mike of Austin; son, Alan McClintock and wife, Nina of Plano; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren, and another on the way.
Visitation will be Friday, May 21, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with Funeral Ceremony 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 22, 2021, at the Fellowship At Weatherford. Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery.
