Tollie Parker Junior passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Cordell, Oklahoma, on Thursday, July 7, 2022.
Tollie was born in Corsicana, Texas, to Tollie and Ivereen (Denny) Parker, on November 23, 1941. They moved to Roscoe, Texas not very long after. He was raised in the Sweetwater-Roscoe area and attended Roscoe ISD. Tollie was 21 years old when he married his best friend and love of his life Bobbie Jean (Patton) Parker. They married on December 17, 1962 and began building their beautiful family and was blessed with eight children.
Tollie and Bobbie loved just being together with all their kids alongside them. They enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, listening to music, and having a cold beer or two. Tollie was an owner operator and truck driver for many years.
After retirement he loved visiting his kids and going to the casino. Tollie lived and loved life. His last years on this earth, thanks to his eldest daughter Brenda, were ones he probably enjoyed the most.
A special thank you to Brenda for all you've done making sure Dad lived life. Tollie will be forever loved and missed by so many. We are comforted in knowing he is reunited with his wife, Bobbie.
Tollie was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie; daughter, Tina Kay and son in law, Jarry Kelly; parents, Tollie and Ivereen Parker; brother, Maurice Parker; and three sisters, Mavis Shute, Louise Shubert, and Shirley McFaul.
Tollie is survived by three daughters, Brenda Kelly, Donna Parker, and Tanya Parker; four sons and daughters in law, Larry and Misty Parker, James and Brandy Parker, Jacky and Ilene Parker, and T.J. and Jan Parker; 22 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Tollie will be laid to rest beside his wife at Greenwood Community Cemetery in Greenwood, Parker County, Texas, on July 12, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
Viewing will be held at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, at 12:00 p.m.
