Thomas Madison Warren, 88, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012.
Tom warren was born on April 10, 1924 in Bomarton, TX to James Oscar and Nannie Eliza Thomas Warren. Tom proudly served as a US Marine where he bravely earned the name of a hero. His service, sacrifice, and dedication during the Korean Conflict led him to become a highly decorated soldier. On the home front, Tom made his name in the race horse training business. Over 40 years of devotion to training horses gained Tom the status of a legendary horseman. A devout Christian, Tom worshiped and served The Lord in all aspects of his life. He was a member of North Side Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Gerri; and siblings, Eva Blanche Warren, Rayford Warren, Mary Seitz, Martha Boswell, Lena Grace Barnes, Sue Belt and Garland Warren.
Tom is survived by his wife, Patricia Warren; daughter, Salina Rios and her husband, Tally; son, Randy Hall and his wife, Shellye; sisters, Elwanda Meeker and her husband, Harold, Nanza Shepelwich; brother, Marion Warren and his wife, Judy; four grandchildren, Turner Hall, Carrie Rios, Olivia Fleming and husband, Matthew, and Cassye Hall.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Blair Warren, Blake Warren, David Belt, Jack Meeker, Danny Meeker, JD Meeker, Donald Ray Boswell, Larry Belt, Jeff Shepelwich, Gary Belt and Landon Meeker.
Funeral service will be held 10 am Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Northside Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Spring Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Monday, December 3, 2012 in the chapel of Galbreaith Pickard.
