Tommny G. Lucia

Tommy G. Lucia left this earth, peacefully in his sleep, and joined his mother and all his former animal companions in heaven on June 1, 2016. Tommy was born on June 1, 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota; from there worked his way off the streets and into rodeo arenas and the hearts of fans across the nation. Tommy was a tough man with a big heart. He was preceded in death by mother Olive Luella Lucia and father Thomas D. Lucia.
 Tommy is survived by children son, Tommy Joe Lucia and wife Donna, son Josh Lucia and wife Bobbie, son Dominic Lucia and wife Marisa, son Anthony Lucia; daughters Poppy Cedillio and Lonna Vopat; grandchildren Chase Lucia, Nick Lucia, Gabby Rodriguez, Parker Ryan, Dillon Vopat, Grace Vopat, Baylee Lucia, Brooklynn Lucia, Halston Lucia, Derian Lucia, Malaya Lucia, Lillian Lucia, Magdalena Lucia, and Patina Olive Lucia.
Tommy’s love, mentorship, and friendship will be missed by his family and his extended rodeo family.

A celebration of Tommy’s life will be shared at St. Stephens Catholic Church, 1802 Bethel Rd, Weatherford, TX on Friday June 3 at 2:30. A visitation will be held at 1:30 in the narthex of the church.  Graveside services will be held immediately following the funeral at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery, 5600 Mineral Wells HWY, Weatherford, TX.
