Tommy Wayne Stewart was at peace when he passed away at the age of 62 on Sunday July 24, 2022. Tommy was born February 28, 1960 in Johnson City, TN to Marvin Deboice Stewart and Wanda Woodward Stewart. The Stewart Family first moved to Texas in 1963; however, they eventually returned to Tennessee where he graduated high school. In 1978, Tommy returned to Texas with his family, living on or near the Brazos River for the rest of his life. Tommy was a master machinist, having first worked at a young age in his father's machine shop; later for General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin; and then for Bell Helicopter, from which he retired. Tommy was so proud of his two daughters and son-in-law; and was especially proud of his 8 grandbabies, whom he loved very much. He was an adventurous foodie and enjoyed being outdoors, particularly while deep-sea fishing. His hobbies included photography, reading, and catching live-music concerts with his friends. He was a kind, gentle man with a playful sense of humor and a goofy laugh. He is remembered fondly by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
Tommy is survived by his two loving daughters: Katelyn Stewart, Nikki Thomas, and husband Jaysun and their children; his mother, Wanda Stewart; his three sisters: Tammy Stewart, Ann Newman, and Penny Watson, and her husband John; as well as his nieces, nephew, and other extended family. Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Stewart.
