Traci D'Ann McKinley, a loving soul who touched the lives of many, peacefully departed from this world on Sunday, April 7, 2024. She graced the earth on December 30, 1970, in Houston, Texas, born to Thomas Robert McKinley, Jr. and Delores (Collins) McKinley.
Traci's journey led her to achieve her Master's degree from Texas Christian University and serve as a Speech teacher at Weatherford College before transitioning to the College’s Director of Institutional Assessment and QEP. Yet, her true joy came from being a devoted mother to her cherished children. Her days were brightened by the laughter and love she shared with them.
Reflecting on Traci’s life paints a beautiful picture of God’s love. One look at her well-worn Bible, packed full of prayers and praises, tells us her lifeline here on this earth was God’s word. It was Jesus who carried her through every battle she faced and His redeeming love ultimately gave her eternal victory!
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Evelyn Belle Benson; son, Alex Benson; granddaughter, Elle Benson; father, Bob McKinley; brother and sister-in-law, Trey and Rochelle McKinley; niece, Kali McKinley; and nephews, Tommy McKinley and Hyatt McKinley.
Traci was preceded in death by her mother, Delores Ann McKinley.
Those who knew Traci are invited to honor her life at a funeral ceremony on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. The service will take place at Greenwood Baptist Church in Weatherford, Texas under the compassionate guidance of Pastor Jon Sherman.
“Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:13
In lieu of flowers, her family has requested that Traci's wishes be honored by donating to Evelyn and Alex’s education fund, by following the Venmo link below.
