Tyler Jay Whitmire, 27, of Weatherford, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, as a result of a motor vehicle accident while at work, near Marble Falls, Texas. Tyler attended Weatherford Schools, graduating in 2012. He was very successful at racing quads and dirt bikes, starting at the age of 8 and continuing through his teenage years.
Tyler’s passion in life was to become a Journeyman Lineman, a goal he achieved by working on electrical transmission lines for Irby Construction. Tyler was happiest when working on 138,000 volt transmission lines, 150 feet in the air, or when he was fishing. He was good at his job, and at fishing, and will be missed but never forgotten, by his family, friends and co-workers.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael Hardin, and step-grandfather, Dale Henry.
Tyler is survived by his son, Zayden Whitmire of Weatherford; girlfriend, Dallas Unterbrink of Riviera; his mother, Kim Hardin of Weatherford; father, Kevin Whitmire of Aledo; maternal grandmother, Carol Henry of Weatherford; paternal grandmother, Melba Whitmire of Aledo; and grandfather, Ken Whitmire of Aledo; aunt and uncle, Angela and Larry Cox; cousins, Brayden and Belden Cox; numerous other cousins, aunts, uncles, co-workers and many, many friends.
