V. Roberta Vanover

V. Roberta Vanover, 74, of Weatherford, Texas passed away on November 5, 2011 at College Park Care Center following a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family. Roberta was born February 17, 1937 in Williamsburg, Kentucky to Basil and Mossie Riley. She was the third of four children. On October 6, 1952 Roberta married Robert Vanover. As a military wife, Roberta lived in several parts of the country and eventually retired in Weatherford, Texas. Roberta cared for her children while her husband, Bob, defended our country. She became a business woman and would later own her own company. Roberta is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Christopher Lee Solomon. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Robert L. Vanover;  her children, Bobby and Jennifer Vanover, Deby and Mark Wolf, Teresa and Bob Kaspari, Edie and Lee Solomon, Ken and Shelley Vanover  and Thomas and Kristie Vanover; sister, Gerri Vanover ; brothers, Kenny and Jack Riley; grandchildren, Rene and husband Jacob, Jennifer and husband Larry, Roberta and husband Marshall, Ashley, Steven, Elizabeth, Thomas, Katelyn and William; great grandchildren, Calvin, Cheyenne, Trevor, Haley, Brooke and Becca.
Graveside service: 2:00 PM, Monday November 07, 2011 in the Tin Top Cemetery with John Sherman officiating.
