Veldene Allene Chapman

Veldene Allene Chapman, age 86, of Brock went to be with Jesus on Friday, March 15, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.  Veldene was born July 29, 1926 to Arthur and Ervilla Casebeer in Plains Texas.  She married Clarence W. Chapman on February 18, 1949.  They were happily married for 35 years, when Clarence went to be with Jesus in 1984.  Veldene was a member of the Victory Baptist Church for 35 years.  She loved to sew clothes, stuffed animals and dolls for her children and grandchildren.  She loved growing flowers all around her yard, enjoyed her vegetable garden until she was unable to physically work in it.  She really loved going to Roy and Dora’s Fish Place every Friday to eat fried catfish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence W. Chapman and parents, Arthur and Ervilla Casebeer.  Her loving heart and smile will be missed by family and friends.
Survivors: children, Linda Balentine and husband, Brent of Brock, Sharon Threatt and husband, Rbie of Brock and David Chapman (missionary to Papua, New Guinea) and wife, Lena of Brock; 10 grandchildren 19 Great Grandchildren; brothers, Clarence Casebeer of Brownfield, Bobby Casebeer and wife, Rita of Kent, Washington and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 3 PM, Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in the
Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in Morgan Mill
Cemetery.  Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements. 
Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Monday, March 18, 2013 at the funeral home.
