Vera Dobbs Brooks Mask

Vera Dobbs Brooks Mask, age 81, of Weatherford, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday afternoon, January 5, 2010 in the local hospital surrounded by her family.   Born March 19, 1928 in Hinton, Oklahoma, a resident of Weatherford for many years.  She was a homemaker, beauty instructor, seamstress and member of the Calvary Baptist Church.    Vera loved her family and friends, she would do seamstress work for many friends and family  She was preceded in death by her parents, Sampson and Ruth Dobbs, siblings, two husbands, Wiley Brooks and Robert Mask, Sr. and a grandson, Shane Young. Her survivors include daughters, Vada Jo Mason and husband Lee of Granbury, Bonnie Young and husband, James of Weatherford and Lisa Knight and husband, Kenny of Weatherford; son, Robert “Butch” Mask, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Weatherford; grandchildren, LaDonna Zumwalt, Mark E. Young, Vicki Mercer,  Cherie Rangel,  Amber Nash, Randi Nash, Amy Malone, Robert Mask III; 13 great grandchildren.
 

Funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Friday, January 8, 2010 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010 at the funeral home.
