Verna Lee Jensen

Verna Lee Jensen, passed away at age 88, Sunday, April 10, 2022. Verna was born March 14, 1934, in Weatherford, Texas, to John Tillman Davidson and Beulah Mae Thompson.

Verna was a loving wife, mother, and friend. She worked as a Practice Administrator for the Harris Pathology Dept. in Ft. Worth until she retired. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Verna found her true joy in life when she became a Nana to her four wonderful grandchildren. They had many “adventures” together. Verna loved to travel whenever she had the chance. She loved to sew and created many beautiful clothes for herself and her family. She also enjoyed working outside in her beautiful flower garden during her leisure time and reading everything that came her way. Verna was an amazing lady and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Verna was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Annye Beryl Brooks; and her husband, R.C. Jensen, Jr.

Verna is survived by her daughter, Sheri Bush and her husband, Bobby of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Vicki Hicks and her husband, Bradley of Leander, Texas; step-daughter, Laurie Jensen Russell of Flint, Michigan; step-son, David Jensen and his wife, Paula of Michigan; and grandchildren, Chris Russell, Sean Russell, Sawyer Hicks, and McKenna Hicks. 

She is also survived by her nieces, Joan Hobbs and husband, Melvin, Gwen Buttrill and husband, Walter, and a number of great-nieces and nephews.
