Virgie Mae Franklin

March 15, 1938 — June 16, 2024

Virgie Mae Franklin, age 86, gracefully departed from this world on Sunday, June 16, 2024. Born on March 15, 1938, in Putnam, Texas, to Virgil and Cleo Brown; her life journey was marked by love, hard work and never give up attitude. She was a loving mom and person. Her family was everything to her.

Passionate about nurturing life in all its forms, Virgie loved feeding and watching the birds in her yard, possessed a remarkable green thumb and found enjoyment in the beauty of gardening, blossoming flowers, and the company of animals - with a special fondness for dogs, they filled her heart with joy and love. Her spirit thrived under the gentle caress of sunshine, finding peace and joy in its radiant glow while harboring a distaste for the tears of raindrops.

In addition to her parents, Virgie was preceded in death by her five sisters and one brother.

Virgie is survived by her son, Steve Franklin of Mineral Wells, Texas and family; daughters, Brenda Reed and husband, Wayne; grandchildren, Matthew Reed, and Kim Bullock and husband, Ricky; great grandchildren, Wyatt, Eli, and Bailey; daughter, Debbie Prest and husband, Dusty, both of Weatherford, Texas; grandchildren, Angela and Todd; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and numerous other loving relatives.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. May Virgie's spirit forever bloom in our memories.
