Virginia Lanelle McBride

LaNelle McBride of Poteau, OK (formerly of Weatherford) passed from this life into Heaven's Gate on Friday, August 26, 2016 at her home.

She was born May 14, 1924 in Vernon, Texas to Earl and Minnie Pate. She lived in Weatherford for 90 years before moving to Poteau, OK two years ago.

She was a homemaker, seamstress, and a cook. She worked in the cafeteria at Campbell Memorial Hospital and in the cafeteria at the Senior Center. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Virginia Carol and Donald Breidt, Jamie Sue and Charles Plowman, and Bobby and Linda McBride. She is survived by 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence McBride, a son, Mike Danley, and one great grandson, Anthony Hill. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and three brothers.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2016 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Family visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday August 29, 2016 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to Parker County Meals on Wheels.

There will be a private burial at a later date and time.
