Waymond Fant Torbett

Waymond Fant Torbett, 92, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021, in a Fort Worth hospital. Waymond was born on February 5, 1929, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Willie Amos and Marie Null Torbett. 

He retired from the United States Postal Service after many dedicated years of service. Waymond was a faithful member of Couts Memorial United Methodist Church, and enjoyed golfing, basketball and baseball. He will be remembered for the time he spent coaching and officiating the youth. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Wanda Torbett, and his daughter-in-law, Barbara Torbett. 

Waymond leaves behind his sons, Ricky Torbett and wife, Pam, Larry Torbett and wife, Marcia, and Weldon Torbett, all of Weatherford; three grandchildren, Landon Torbett, Meagan Ely, and Caitlin Torbett; and eight great grandchildren.

A private funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Couts Memorial United Methodist Church.
