William “Bill” Berry, 51, of Weatherford, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016.
A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at 10 AM, on Monday, November 28, at North Side Baptist Church, 910 N. Main Street, in Weatherford. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until the time of the service, Monday, at the church. Burial will be private at Tin Top Cemetery.
Bill was born November 21, 1964 in Homestead, Florida to James and Lynda Berry. He dedicated his life to public service as a firefighter, EMT, police officer, and arson investigator. Through his passion and dedication for serving others, Bill served as a firefighter for 30 years with the Fort Worth Fire Department. Bill touched many lives in his service to the community. Most of all, Bill will be remembered for his love of his family and his fellow first responders.
Bill is survived by his wife of 22 years, Maenica Berry; daughter, Jordan Lee Looper; son, Wyatt Brayden Berry; his granddaughter, Taytum Faith Lee Looper; father, James (Wanda) Berry; mother, Lynda (Darrell) Donohue; his brother, James Berry (Lori); his parents-in-law, Zeb (Gracy) Smith; and by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests written memories of how he impacted their life or a donation to a scholarship fund set up on behalf of his son, Wyatt Berry or his granddaughter, Taytum Looper through Plains Capital Bank.
