William “Bill” F. Gfrorer, 79, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, of Weatherford, passed away late on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Cremation has taken place, and all services will be private.
Bill was born on May 29, 1942, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to William Frederick, Sr. and Babette Gfrorer. On August 13, 1966, he married Carolyn Johnson and together had two sons, Vincent and Andrew. Bill was a Journeyman Electrician until he was forced to retire for health reasons in 1981. He was a member of the IBEW Chapter 494. In 1971, he had the first of 3 heart bypass surgeries and was perhaps one of the longest survivors to have such a procedure. Bill enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a huge Green Bay Packers fan and was a proud shareholder. Most of all, Bill will be remembered for his devotion to his family – particularly to his children and grandchildren.
Bill is survived by wife, Carolyn; his sons, Vincent (Kari) Gfrorer and Andrew (Mai) Gfrorer; his grandchildren, Jared, Isabella, Olivia, Emma, and Ethan; his sister, Mary Ellen Buschke; many nieces and nephews; and by family friends, Chris Hunter and Robert Mena.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Greg Gregor; and by his brother-in-law, Jerry Buschke.
