William Joe Hudson

William Joe Hudson, 100, of Weatherford passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020. 

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday February 3, 2020, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. 

Graveside service: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Brock Cemetery.

Joe was born June 9, 1919, in Brock, Texas, to Jodie Frank and Lula Dee Clack Hudson. He retired from Gulf Oil after 36 dedicated years. Joe was a strong and courageous soldier that was proud to have served in the U.S. Army during WWII, despite being a POW for 19 months in a German prison camp. In his later years, he enjoyed drinking coffee with his buddies and doing some carpentry work. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lucille Hudson; daughters, Linda Kay and Sharon Eileen Harris; as well as his siblings, Bobbie Jean Little and Coy Graham. 

Joe is survived by his daughters, Kathleen Nash and husband, Frank of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Jo Ann Clements of Weatherford; grandchildren, C.J. Harris of Austin and Michelle Barnes of Aurora; siblings, Louvene Richardson of Abilene, Lula Mae Neely of Brock, Willie Dee McCarty of Garner, and Nita Shahan of Greenwood Community.
