Willie "Dean" Ruth

Willie “Dean” Ruth, 70, of Weatherford, passed away late Thursday, February 16, at Weatherford Regional Medical Center, in Weatherford.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 P.M., on Monday, February 20, 2017, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 11 A.M., on Tuesday, February 21, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
Dean was born November 6, 1946, in Weatherford. He was one of three sons born to Willie Virgil and Lavida Irene Ruth. Dean was a 1965 graduate of Weatherford High School where he participated in track and football. He went on to attend McMurry College in Abilene. He loved outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, and enjoyed all sports. Dean was recently active with the Jehovah’s Witness in Weatherford. Most of all, Dean cherished and loved to spend time with his family.
Dean is survived by his brothers, Don (Olga) Ruth and Dale (Patty) Ruth; and by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents.
