Willie Richards

Willie Lee “Bill” Richards, 86, of Weatherford passed away Friday, July 20, 2012 in a local care facility.  Bill was born February 8, 1926 in Divide, Texas to Emma and David Richards.

Mr. Richards was a World War II army veteran and a member of The Wayward Group. He was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his sons, Billie Wayne, Tommy Lee and Jimmy Don Richards; brother, Curtis Richards and sisters, Montie Richards Sager and Juanita Richards Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Richards; daughters, Connie Marie Richards and husband, Jim and Kathryn Jean Robinson, all of Weatherford; sisters, Nancy Richards Gandee of Walnut Springs and Peggy Sue Richards Heap of Houston; brothers, Jack Richards and wife, Mary Lou of Weatherford, Gene Richards and wife, Judy of North Richland Hills, David Richards and wife, Jewell of Weatherford and Bob Richards and wife, Ruby also of Weatherford; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Oakland Cemetery. 

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
