Wilma Lowene Benson

Wilma Lowene Benson, age 87, died on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, in Weatherford, Texas.  

Visitation will be Friday, May 9, 2014, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

A graveside service will be Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Danny Couch

Wilma was born January 26, 1927, to Alvie and Maggie Shafer, in Huntsville, Alabama. She was a longtime resident of Weatherford. Wilma was a member of Couts Methodist Church. 

Survivors: son, Mark W. Benson and wife, Darlene of Weatherford, Texas; grandson, Garrett Reed Benson of Weatherford, Texas; sister, Peggy Joy Norman of Fort Worth, Texas; sister-in-law, Elsie “Moose” Shafer of Camp Wood, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Benson; parents; two sisters; and three brothers.
