Yvonne Collins Bryant, 88, of Brock, TX, died on December 16, 2016 in Breckenridge, TX. She was born in Lipan, TX, on April 1, 1928 to Marion Dallas & Fraudie Nadine Collins. Yvonne had been of strong health until she broke her hip in July of 2016.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, December 20, at Brock Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 1 P.M. until the time of the service, Tuesday at the church. Burial will be private at Johnson Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Brock Baptist Church.
Yvonne attended school in Dennis, TX. She later became an insurance clerk which she did for 50 years of her life. On July 3, 1946, she married Thomas Wesley Bryant. When Yvonne wasn't busy working in the insurance office she would help Tom haul peanuts and fertilizer.
Everyone that knew her will remember her for work ethic. She valued a job well done and enjoyed working. She loved to work outside in her yard and to be around her dogs. She also loved her church family at the Brock Baptist Church.
Yvonne is survived by her daughter Sue and husband Sam Turner of Necessity, a grandson Brad and wife Evella of Lipan, a granddaughter Tracey and husband Brad Harrison and great-grandchildren Cole & Cade Turner & Trent & Madison Harrison. She is also survived by two brothers Dewain Collins of Lubbock, TX & James Collins of Hurst, TX.
She is preceded in death by her husband Tom Bryant and brother Billy Jo Collins.
