Yvonne Moore, 82, of Aledo passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012, with her family by her side. Yvonne was born in Clairette, Texas, February 5, 1930, to Ludie Bell and William Edward Williams.
Mrs. Moore was the first lady bus driver for the Aledo School District. She then became a teacher’s aide as she so enjoyed children. She was an active mother participating in scouts, sports and other activities. When their children were grown, she and her husband Jr. became foster parents.
She was preceded in death by a son, Steve Moore.
What a great family legacy she leaves to survive: her husband, William H. Moore “Jr.”; son, Ted Moore and wife, Carol; daughter, Pamela Cheryl Garcia; eight grandchildren, Shari Conger and her husband, Kirk, Sandy Moore, Tina Moore, Lucinda Erin Parker, Monica Parker, Jeff Moore and wife, Toni, Stephanie Carpenter and husband, Terry, and Vanessa Parker; seventeen great grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Joyce Bryant and her husband, Bill.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation is from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Annetta Cemetery.
