Yvonne Nesky

Yvonne Nesky, 81, of Weatherford, Texas joined our sweet Jesus on February 25, 2014. Yvonne was born on December 5, 1932 in Houston, Texas and spent most of her life there. Upon graduation from Stephen F. Austin High School, she went to work for Humble Oil Company.   Yvonne and her girlfriends would travel to Bandera on weekends for fun.  It was there at the “Silver Dollar” that she would meet the love of her life and husband of 41 years, Theodore Edwin Nesky. Jr.  They made their home in Houston Texas and would own and operate several businesses before retiring and moving to the Weatherford area to be closer to family.  Although she was never blessed with children of her own, she was known by all as “Aunt Vonnie”.  She always had a smile and a hug for everyone and even as her health declined never complained or spoke an unkind word of anyone.  Vonnie loved spending time with her family and would light up at the visits of her great great nieces and nephew.  She looked forward to family vacations to the beach and blessed everyone who was there with her love for cooking.  Her presence will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her niece Tammy and husband Ronnie Tidwell of Weatherford, her nieces Terry Chapman and Diane Hamilton of Bridgeport, her great nieces, Brandy Maddox and husband Justin, Brittany Brysch and husband Corey of Weatherford, and Michelle Armstrong and husband Clayton of Chico.  Great Great nieces Shelby and Shyann Maddox, Jessica and Joyann Windham and great great nephews Jeramie, Justin, Joshua, Jayce Windham of Chico and Carter James Brysch of Weatherford.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore E. Nesky, Jr. , her sister, Joye Elaine Atkinson and her parents, Earl and Ann Pratt.
 
 

A celebration of her life will be held at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 3:00 p.m..  She will join her husband Teddy at a private family burial in Bandera, Texas were they shared some of the best times of their life.
