Zelma Dean Loudermilk

ZELMA DEAN LOUDERMILK, 89, entered heavens gates peacefully on Friday, September 22, 2017 in Weatherford, Texas following a short battle with breast cancer.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8, Friday evening, September 29, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. A committal service will be held at 1 P.M., on Saturday, September 30, at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Decatur, TX.

Zelma was born to Frank and Burney Kirkland in Comanche, Texas on May 3, 1928. She was a homemaker who loved her family. She enjoyed yardwork and volunteering in various organizations. Zelma and her husband were members of the First Baptist Church, Decatur, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Earney Gayle Loudermilk, her parents, 3 sisters Marie Morgan, Jewell Beck, Lorena Seals and 3 brothers, Blackie Kirkland, Delbert Kirkland and Troy Kirkland.
Survived by her daughter Kay Rouse and husband Charles of Weatherford, granddaughters Milissa Harris and husband Coy of Decatur, Marla Daniels and husband Mark of Weatherford; grandson, Mark Rouse and wife Kelly of Fort Worth; great-grandchildren, Chase Howard of College Station, Texas, Cody Howard of Denton, Texas, Meghan Rouse of College Station, Abigail and Aidan Daniels of Weatherford.

In her later years, Zelma lived at Autumn Hill Manor in Weatherford where she had a lot of wonderful friends. Thank you to the amazing homebound ministry at Northside Baptist Church for visiting her and making her life pleasant and joyful. Especially, Gene Cotter for his kindness and friendship to her. A special thanks to Solaris Hospice and the great care she received during her short battle with breast cancer.
Zelma was loved by many and will be missed by all.
